Things You Should Know
At our convention, we believe every adventurer, airship captain, inventor, rogue, and time traveler deserves a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience. We are committed to fostering an inclusive atmosphere where all attendees, guests, vendors, performers, and staff can gather in comfort and respect.
Our event maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding harassment, intimidation, stalking, groping, inappropriate photography, or discriminatory behavior of any kind. Harassment does not need to occur in a workplace setting to be unacceptable.
Harassment includes, but is not limited to:
Harassment of any kind is not welcome and will not be tolerated. Anyone asked to stop inappropriate behavior is expected to comply immediately. Violation of this policy may result in removal from the convention without refund and possible exclusion from future events.
Consent matters. Costumes, cosplay, and steampunk attire are not an invitation for unwanted attention, touching, or photography.
If you experience harassment or witness concerning behavior, please contact the nearest staff member, volunteer, or convention security team so a report can be made. We are here to help.
Together, we can ensure the convention remains a safe and extraordinary gathering for all travelers of the aether.
Tell-Tale Steampunk is dedicated to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment for all attendees, guests, performers, vendors, panelists, volunteers, and staff. We celebrate creativity, craftsmanship, imagination, and community, and we expect all participants to conduct themselves in a considerate and courteous manner throughout the event.
We are committed to maintaining an atmosphere where everyone can safely enjoy the convention regardless of gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, religion, age, disability, body type, appearance, or background.
We ask all attendees to be mindful of their surroundings and respectful of fellow travelers, inventors, adventurers, and airship crew alike. If you witness concerning, unsafe, or harassing behavior, please notify convention staff, venue security, or a volunteer immediately.
All participants deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. Unacceptable behavior includes, but is not limited to:
Harassment, intimidation, bullying, or discrimination
Offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability, appearance, or identity
Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or unwanted following
Harassing or non-consensual photography or recording
Sustained disruption of panels, performances, workshops, or convention activities
Unwelcome physical contact or sexual attention
Inappropriate or abusive language directed toward attendees, staff, volunteers, vendors, or guests
Damage to venue property or exhibits
Behavior that creates an unsafe, hostile, or disruptive environment
Cosplay, steampunk attire, and themed costuming are not consent for unwanted attention, touching, or photography. Always ask permission before taking close-up photos or engaging physically with another attendee.
Tell-Tale Steampunk encourages fellowship and social interaction; however, attendees who appear excessively intoxicated or whose behavior negatively impacts others may be removed from convention spaces.
For the safety of all attendees, firearms and prohibited weapons are not permitted at the event except where expressly approved as part of a costume policy and in compliance with venue and local regulations.
Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated from anyone participating in the convention, including attendees, guests, vendors, volunteers, performers, media, sponsors, staff, or venue personnel.
Anyone asked to stop inappropriate behavior is expected to comply immediately.
Tell-Tale Steampunk reserves the right to take any action deemed necessary to maintain a safe and welcoming environment, including removal from the event without refund and possible restriction from attending future events.
This Code of Conduct is intended as a general guideline and cannot cover every possible situation. Tell-Tale Steampunk reserves the right to address any behavior that compromises the safety, comfort, or enjoyment of attendees and participants.
This policy may be updated or modified at any time without notice.
Tell-Tale Steampunk, we deeply value the creativity, craftsmanship, and dedication of human artists. Our community is built upon makers, illustrators, designers, writers, costumers, and creators whose talents help bring imagination to life.
Because of this commitment, Tell-Tale Steampunk does not use AI-generated artwork in our official convention materials, advertising, merchandise, publications, or branding. All imagery used by the convention is either:
We believe artists deserve recognition, respect, and compensation for their work and creative labor.
In support of the artistic community, Tell-Tale Steampunk also does not permit vendors to sell AI-generated artwork, prints, or products derived primarily from generative artificial intelligence systems within our vendor spaces or artist marketplace.
Vendors are expected to sell work that is personally created, designed, crafted, or substantially transformed through their own artistic skill and effort. Any vendor found misrepresenting AI-generated work as handmade or artist-created may be asked to remove those items or may risk removal from the event.
